Job Summary
The Athletic Trainer provides comprehensive athletic training services to athletes, including injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation. This position works collaboratively with team physicians, coaches, and the Sports Medicine Institute to ensure the health and performance of athletes across multiple sports and events. Additionally, the Athletic Trainer engages in community outreach and education to promote Sports Medicine services.
Essential Functions
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or a related field required 1-3 years of experience in athletic training or a related field requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and injury prevention strategies. Proficiency in evaluating athletic injuries and developing appropriate treatment and rehabilitation plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with athletes, coaches, healthcare professionals, and parents. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make critical decisions under pressure. Skilled in maintaining detailed and accurate medical records. Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices related to athletic training and sports medicine. Strong organizational and time management abilities.Licenses and Certifications
AT - Certified Athletic Trainer in state of employment required or ATC - Athletic Trainer Cert in state of employment required BCLS - Basic Life Support obtained within 90 days of employment required Licensure, registration, and/or certification is required in all states. Follow state requirements as applicable.
