The Certified Athletic Trainer will be responsible for:
Providing athletic training coverage for high school programs, events, and organizations as per contractual agreement with Pinellas County. Following both the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics as set forth by the National Athletic Trainers Association and Florida Licensing Law.Being present at home athletic contests and practices and shall attend other post-season and home-hosted contests.Providing 1st aid and injury assessment/treatment/rehabilitation/reconditioning for student-athletes. The athletic trainer will also be responsible for making appropriate physician referral. Filing all necessary reports associated with athletic injuries and/or incidents.Supervising the clearance of injured athletes prior to and during the sport seasons. Maintaining a daily treatment log. Overseeing the ordering of supplies and equipment pertaining to the athletic training room and maintaining an up-to-date inventory. Provide the Athletic Director with an annual budget for supplies and equipment. Working in accordance with a weekly schedule to be determined by the Athletic Director. Weekly schedules will vary according to the athletic season.Creating a safe playing environment by monitoring and controlling environmental risks.Assisting in carrying out predetermined patient related activities in the physical therapy setting under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist or the Physical Therapy Assistant."Unlock Your Career Potential: Join our Team of Certified Athletic Trainers and Enjoy our Outstanding Benefits!"
