The Full Time Athletic Trainer (Temporary) will provide preventative services, first aid care, injury evaluation, short-term injury rehabilitation and physician referral guidance for our students. Primary Responsibilities:Assist with injury consultation, management and physician referral for students currently enrolled at AMDA Los AngelesPerform evaluation and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuriesProvide injury prevention consultation and educationProvide temporary movements modifications to students with injuries and communicate these modifications to faculty and pertinent staff on campusApply first aid carePromote welcoming atmosphere and quality customer service for studentsMaintain professionalism and uphold confidentiality of student health informationMaintain accurate and detailed record keepingCommunicate with outside health care professionals as neededAssist with interdepartmental referrals for students in needWork collaboratively with the AMDA Production staff to provide injury prevention support to students cast in AMDA ProductionsWork in collaboration with the Student Care Team to support students in needAssist with Athletic Performance Studio coverage as determined by supervisorAssist with the coordination and implementation of educational workshops, open fitness, and presentations as neededAdhere to the policies and procedures of the AMDA Center for Health & PerformanceMaintain communication with supervisor and partnering departments Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field from a CAATE Accredited Athletic Training Education Program (Master’s degree preferred)Board of Certification (BOC) credential requiredMinimum one year of professional experience (dance or performing arts setting preferred)Strong clinical skills including manual therapy techniques, postural assessment and corrective exercise prescription (previous experience in Pilates a plus)Familiarity with movement screening is a plusCertified in CPR and First AidStrong interpersonal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word and ExcelAbility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a diverse populationAbility to handle multifaceted tasksGreat attention to detail Position Information:This is a temporary position for the approximate dates of May 19, 2025 – November 14, 2025. These dates are subject to change based on department needs. The regular schedule for this role is Monday – Friday 9:30am – 6:30pm PT with a one-hour lunch each day. This is subject to change based on department needs.The pay range for this position is $32.00/hour - $35.00/hour.This position is subject to a background check upon a conditional offer of employment and a reference check.This is a fully in-person position.
