Position Overview 

The Athletic Trainer’s overall role is to provide direct patient care in a medical/physician office setting and assist the providers in high quality care while maintaining clinic efficiency and patient throughput. 

Essential Functions 

Evaluates, plans, implements, and coordinates resources to provide an efficient clinic workflow.  Provides clinical education and guidance to patients, families, and peers. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition, as appropriate. Assists the physician and advanced practice provider in the prescribed plan of care. Measures, applies, adjusts, and provides education for braces, splints, casts, and ambulatory devices. Assists in post operative clinic needs including suture/staple removal and application of bandages for incision and/or wound care. Collaborates as needed across disciplines and serves as a liaison to coordinate patient care. Guides and mentors other team members. Manages patient expectations and resolves patient concerns.  Requirements Knowledge/Skills Abilities Required Current athletic training license in the state of Colorado Current certification by and in good standing with the NATA BOC Bachelor’s Degree in related field Minimum of one year of experience in an orthopedic setting providing direct patient care Demonstrated competency in applying the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in athletic training Completes and maintains active CPR certification training Strong writing skills for documentation purposes Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public 

Pay Information: $25-$28/hour
