Job Summary

The Athletic Facility Specialist performs basic maintenance and operation of the Houston Field House building, ice rink and connected parking areas.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid US driver’s license

Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic construction background 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Requires good interpersonal skills and ability to deal with the public Basic knowledge of the methods, tools, equipment, and materials normally used in maintenance and changeover activities in the custodial and sports facility trades. Ability to operate Zamboni machine and forklift. Knowledge of Freon risks and issues of sports facility Ability to perform semiskilled tasks independently Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, to operate tools and equipment used IN stadium and auditorium type facilities work Ability to function independently or as part of a team Ability to work under strict time constraints Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and personnel lifts

Shift

Business Hours with weekends or evenings occasionally required

Driving

Non passenger driving between campus locations

Starting Salary/Rate

Expected hiring range: $17.50 - $17.75 per hour
