Under broad supervision, the Assistant Public Defender IV is responsible for the administration and direction of support staff and licensed attorneys engaged in the defense of felony jury or non-jury cases handled by the Circuit Public Defender Office. The position advises and counsels other attorneys as to the case management practices of handling their assigned cases, as well as demonstrates a mastery of litigation and possesses extensive and significant jury trial experience as the lead counsel in felony cases.
