Description Our client, a California-based Estate Planning and Real Estate Lawyer, is seeking an experienced California-licensed Attorney to assist with legal research and drafting a brief for a partition case. The case involves allegations of fraud, negligence, and misrepresentation. This is a fully remote, short-term assignment that requires strong knowledge of California laws and legal writing expertise. Key Responsibilities: + Conduct in-depth legal research specific to California laws on partition actions, fraud, negligence, and misrepresentation. + Draft a comprehensive and persuasive legal brief addressing the key legal issues and supporting arguments. + Analyze California case law, statutes, and procedural rules to ensure accuracy and compliance. + Collaborate with the client to refine the brief and align it with case strategy. Requirements Qualifications: + Active and in good standing membership with the California State Bar. + Minimum 3 years of experience in civil litigation, real estate law, or related legal practice in California. + Proven experience drafting legal briefs and conducting research on California-specific legal matters. + Strong writing and analytical skills with attention to detail. + Expertise in California real estate and property laws, particularly partition actions. + Familiarity with California legal procedures and standards. + Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality work on tight deadlines.
