Description Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney for a contracted, remote position based in New York, New York. Responsibilities: • Assist team in insurance defense cases • Draft legal motions, pleadings, and other documents related to insurance defense Qualifications: • JD from an accredited law school • Admission to the New York State Bar • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in insurance defense Work Schedule: This is a contract position requiring 30 plus hours per week. The role is fully remote, offering flexibility to work from home. Compensation: The pay rate for this position starts at $75 per hour. Requirements • Must possess a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school. • Must be licensed to practice law in the state. • Proven experience as a lawyer, preferably in civil litigation. • Strong experience in document management. • Proficiency in drafting legal documents, motions, and pleadings. • Extensive knowledge and experience in litigation and insurance defense. • Prior courtroom experience is required. • Excellent negotiation and communication skills. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and high ethical standards. • Proficient in legal research software and office suite. • Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
