At PwC, our people in tax services focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions.Those in tax compliance at PwC will focus on validating clients' compliance with tax laws and regulations. You will review and analyse financial data, prepare and file tax returns, and assist businesses in meeting their tax obligations while minimising risks of non-compliance.

Technical
1. 3-5 years of experience in the field of US Individual taxation
2. Advanced understanding of US Individual tax returns (1040) and intermediate understanding of US Foreign Trust filing requirements (Form 3520) and other foreign filings on US individual tax returns (Form 8865, basic 5471, 8621, 926 etc)
3. 1st level Review of Tax Returns/workpaper preparation (Pdf and excel), made ready for Manager/Senior manager review
4. Make the most of the opportunities for technical development through on the job learning and exposure
5. Validate data and analyze for accuracy and relevance
6. Produce high quality of work which adheres to the relevant professional standards
7. Think broadly and ask relevant questions and communicate open items with clients in a timely manner while leading Kick-off/Status calls. Abilty to identify problems/information needed at the start to ensure tax returns can get finalized in a timely manner
8. Develop knowledge of the firm’s line of service capabilities and our portfolio offerings
9. Keep up-to-date with tax technical / technology developments
10. Keep up to date with IRS technical and legislative changes
11. Ability to pick up and learn about new tax technology bieng implemented across the AC and Australian firms
12. Ability to understand cross border tax implications, and a client tax position across multiple countries to correctly arrive at the final tax position on a US return. Ability to understand and decipher a tax treaty is helpful
13. Understanding of US non resident taxation and the treaty rates to use and which income to consider on a US return

5. Advance/strong knowledge of MS/Google/Adobe enterprise solutions

7. Facilitate basic technical and tools & technology trainings - Share relevant knowledge with colleagues to enhance tax technicals
8. Follow risk management and compliance procedures
9. Share and collaborate effectively with others, create a positive team spirit while proactively flagging ways to improve effective team working
10. Working towards individual goals set and comfortable with target/deadline based working
11. Being able to guide, train & mentor new team members with technical/organisational questions
12. Communicate with the clients, regularly updating them and sharing progress of the engagements
13. Work towards achieving organizational goals
14. Ability to work extended hours during busy periods (March1- April 15, Sep 1 to end of Nov) including Saturdays to ensure returns meet the respective deadline
