Job Summary Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center is hiring a weekender PRN Audio Associate . Provides hearing screening services to newborns as part of a Universal Newborn Hearing Screening. Audio associates assist Audiologists with pediatric and difficult to test population to obtain hearing test results; and provides administrative and clerical support to department or service line. Qualifications + Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Trained by Licensed Audiologist (may be completed upon hire) + Experience: Minimum of one year successful experience working with children of all ages from birth through adolescents, preferred. + Licensure/Certification: Appropriate state licensure, preferred. + Additional Skills (required): Able to complete appropriate training and education of Electronic Medical Records. Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Human relations and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with pediatric patients which may include patients with complex cases or who are developmentally delayed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Word, Excel, and the use of office machines. Intermediate skills with computer and software applications. + Additional Skills (preferred): Previous exposure to the unique needs of infants, experience with handling young infants. Experience demonstrating comfort and confidence when communicating with parents, and ability to problem solve and modify techniques in response to changes/problems as needed. One year clerical/secretarial/office support, or demonstrated ability to perform job functions. One year experience in a healthcare environment. Stand, sit, speak, write, see, and hear. Interact with patients by kneeling, sitting, standing, gesturing, and pointing and by using animated facial expressions and play techniques. Job Opening ID 89713
