Bloomberg Media seeks an experienced journalistic and narrative audio editor to work part-time on the ambitious podcast franchise, The Big Take, which includes a daily show and two weekly shows focused on Asia and Washington, DC. The narrative franchise, publishing 5 days a week, focused on original, global and financial news. The editor will work 20 hours a week under the guidance of the Executive Producer, in collaboration with a larger, global editorial and production podcast team as well as alongside reporters and editors in Bloomberg’s wider newsroom. Responsibilities: + Responsible for factual representation,editorial direction, structure and narrative arc of Big Take podcast episodes + Works closely with show EP, Deputy and hosts onepisode decision-making related to journalism, ethics and narrativestorytelling in each episode + Responsible for line editing episodes andfinal-decision making on journalistic or audio calls + Regularly pitches and develops episodes withproducers, Bloomberg reporters and show leadership + Mentors and trains show producers onjournalistic and writing-for-audio best practices Skills and Experience: + 5+ years of editing experience, 8+ years ofjournalism experience + Experience in editing narrative storytellingrequired + Excellent news judgment and sharp editorial earrequired + Audio experience and working in a newsroom orsimilar environment required + Flexibility and thoughtfulness indecision-making a must + Must desire to work collaboratively with and beinterested in mentoring other Salary: 70,85,USD,Hourly Bloomberg is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
