Job DescriptionNBC Universal has an opening for an Audio Engineer supporting MSNBC. The Audio Engineer will prepare show audio requirements and operate equipment to integrate audio sources and create a full program mix for air.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Director, technical and production staff to plan audio requirements for multi-camera television productionsOffer technical and creative audio solutions to create a high quality mix for air.Prepare audio operations technical infrastructure details for assigned showsTest and prepare television audio operations systems and equipment for useRehearse and lead the audio plan for assigned shows and eventsProgram production communications intercom system for studio and remote locationsPrepare music and sound effects for airHandle mic and IFB patching and routing for studio showsCoordinate and prepare talent mics and mix-minus for studio and remote locations with the control room Tech Manager and Audio Assistant(s)/A2(s)Mix multiple audio sources: studio and remote microphones, music and sound effectsWork closely with management and Engineering to ensure all audio and comms equipment is meeting clients expectationsProvide audio coverage as lead (A1) or assist (A2) Audio as assignedResponsible for compliance with all applicable company policiesQualificationsEligibility Requirements:
