We are seeking a Audio-Video\/Multimedia Engineer who will provide design, installation and maintenance of Audio-Visual\/Multimedia (AV\/MM) systems. The AV\/MM Engineer is also responsible for the programming and configuration management (CM) of developmental and operational AV\/MM systems. \n
\n

Position requires an active TS\/SCI with Polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.\n
\n

Position Required Skills:\n\nMust have experience programming CRESTRON AV systems along with interfacing with Cisco VTC equipment.\nPrepare operational guides.\nTrain Government customers in proper use of AV\/MM systems.\nProvide system programming to support implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Crestron based AV\/MM systems.\nProvide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.\nManage the daily operation and configuration activities of AV\/MM systems.\nProvide assistance to users in accessing and using AV\/MM systems.\nDesign a wide variety of AV\/MM solutions including multi-level security VTC\/PC systems, enterprise level VTC and collaboration systems, conference rooms, digital signage, and streaming.\nAct as equipment custodian and performs inventory asset management and accountability functions. (U) Document hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures.\nCoordinate hardware installations across multiple rooms.\nMaintain and develop the environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integration.\nApply concepts and define and implement hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrate those scripts with the hardware and software build process.\nConduct analysis on AV\/MM systems by ensuring designs are cost efficient, able to be integrated, and reliable.\nCommunicate with the other engineering personnel to coordinate the interrelated design and assure project completion.\nDesign, document, and develop code for programmable devices.\nAnalyze complex hardware systems, hardware design, architecture, network design and other technical hardware issues.\nPerform testing on equipment.\nProvide hardware maintenance support, both preventative and remedial.\nDeploy, install, and implement new AV\/MM at Customer sites as needed.\nConduct site surveys.\nStreamline control system interfaces to automate and maximize user experience.\nConfigure control systems, communication devices and peripheral equipment.\nDevelop costing proposals for the program manager.\nPerform telecommunications punch block installation and maintenance for serial copper data paths.\nInterpret drawings, specifications, and other related documents.\n\n

Position Desired Skills: \n\nProgramming CRESTRON AV systems\nProgramming and configuration of Cisco VTC Systems (SX-20\/SX-80\/Mini Room Kit\/Room Kit Pro)\nKnowledge of security protocols: SSL, TLS, encryption \n Audio processing\n Sound reinforcement and speaker placement\nSightlines, screen size and projection distances\n Knowledge of AV-over IP. \nIntegration of audio and video teleconferencing systems\nDesign and installation of audio support systems (microphones, amplifiers, and interfacing with Skype)\nFive (5) years' experience Crestron programming within the last nine (9) years. Certification as a Crestron Programmer, Crestron Technology Specialist (CTS) and\/or CTS-Installation and\/or CTS-Design training certification is desired.\n\n

Qualifications: \n\nBachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional AV\/MM experience in the areas identified above may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree for a total of nine (9) years' experience.\nCertification as a Technology Specialist (CTS) and\/or CTS-Installation and\/or CTS-Design training certification is desired\n\n
