Job Title: Audio Video Post- Production Editor (NARA I)
Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services is seeking an Audio Video Post- Production Editor in Washington, DC. This position will edit media, perform file conversions, manage archiving, upload to social media platforms, and manage editing workstations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Video and audio editing/finishing of content created by the Audio Visual team and other sources using Final Cut X, Motion, and Compressor
• Upload media to various social media platforms
• Manage and maintain archiving database using CATDV and other archiving software.
• Maintain edit suite software/hardware by performing system updates according to best practice.
• Research and recommend software and hardware upgrades; create and suggest changes to SOPs.
• Utilize MAC and PC platforms
• General AV support duties as needed to supplement the overall goal of AV Support Team.
• Interface with high ranking government officials, contractors, researchers, visitors, and other public officials.
Qualifications:
• Three years’ video editing experience
• College degree in an audiovisual field, technical certifications in relevant field, and/or five years of audiovisual experience from a reputable company.
• Working knowledge of the methods, practices, tools and materials used in the general operations and maintenance of editing and audiovisual equipment.
• Have specific knowledge of computers, overhead projectors, audio and video recording, and other multimedia equipment during live events and lecture room set up.
• Must possess outstanding customer service ability, and excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of overhead projectors, HD camera operations, audio and video recording, livestreaming, video calling platforms, microphones setup, and production lighting, and other multimedia equipment, a plus.
Physical Demands:
Personnel in this position will make repairs and installations from ladders, scaffolding, and platforms and works with systems and equipment in hard to reach places. Consequently, personnel are required to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and work in tight and uncomfortable positions. They will lift, carry, and set-up equipment weighing up to 20 pounds. Occasionally, personnel may lift and carry items that weigh over 50 pounds. The work is performed indoors and outdoors.
