Audio/Visual Engineer
Roles and Responsibilities:Responsible for configuring, operating, and maintaining Audio Visual (AV) equipment and solutionsDesign, test, and troubleshoot the technology and configurations in conference rooms and custom audio visual deployment spacesAct as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Zoom Workplace App, Zoom Rooms, Zoom Phone, conference room architecture/standards, video/audio/web conferencing, and digital signage infrastructureProvide meeting support with Audio Visual, Audio, and Video Conferencing equipment and servicesPerform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of AV hardware and software problems for end-users and conference rooms, and recommend and implement corrective solutions.Lead testing practices to ensure AV changes/upgrades don’t negatively impact key business applications or user experience.Document the deployment, troubleshooting, and operational processes required to build and operate our AV solution standardsDrive initiatives to continuously improve our end-users experience based on user feedback and monitoring dataCollaborate with members of the Information Security, Network, Infrastructure, Workplace, End User Computing and cloud teams to ensure our AV setup meet user requirements and align with the overall IT technology portfolio, processes, and proceduresSkills and Experience2+ years (or relative) in an AV Engineer roleStrong level knowledge with online meeting platforms and connection types (i.e. Zoom, Google Meet, Webex, Teams, etc.)Advanced troubleshooting skills with professional AV equipment using diagnostic and testing tools. Strong knowledge of signal flow, AV signal types, cabling, connectors, etc.VIP/Executive Management support experience requiredStrong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively, must be able to perform a variety of tasks and assignments without sacrificing the quality of workBasic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)Excellent oral and written communication skills, including customer facing soft skills, demonstrating personal and business maturityThe ability to analyze support requests and prioritize them based on impactWillingness and ability to work flexible hours, and on-call rotation if requiredPhysical ability to lift and install equipment (TV, computers and AV peripherals) in conference rooms and small placesBe a team player
