Audio Visual Technician
Job Title: Audio Visual Technician Job Summary: We are looking for an Audio Visual (AV) Technician to manage and operate AV equipment for events. The role involves setting up, troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth operation of audio and visual systems during live events and daily operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with AV equipment and be able to handle technical issues quickly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: + Set Up and Operation: + Install and configure audio, video, and lighting equipment for various events and meetings. + Ensure all AV equipment runs smoothly during both in-person and virtual events. + Maintenance and Troubleshooting: + Regularly check and maintain AV equipment to ensure it's in good working order. + Troubleshoot technical issues during events to minimize disruptions. + Support During Events: + Provide technical assistance on-site, resolving issues as they arise. + Help speakers and presenters with technical setup, including microphones and presentations. + Equipment Inventory and Management: + Manage and track AV equipment, ensuring it is stored and maintained properly. + Perform audits and track equipment repairs when needed. + Collaboration: + Work with event planners and teams to meet AV needs. + Coordinate with vendors for any additional equipment needed for events. + Training: + Train staff or clients on how to use AV equipment for meetings or presentations. + Post-Event Tasks: + Help pack down and store equipment after events. + Ensure all equipment is returned in good condition. Qualifications: + Experience as an Audio Visual Technician or similar technical role. + Ability to operate and troubleshoot AV equipment like microphones, projectors, sound systems, and video cameras. + Strong problem-solving skills. + Basic knowledge of lighting and multimedia systems. + Good communication skills. + Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules. + Technical certification (preferred but not required). Physical Requirements: + Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs). + Comfort with standing and walking for extended periods during events. Working Conditions: + Work in different environments like conference rooms, outdoor venues. + Must be available to work during irregular hours as needed for events.
