**$5,000 hiring bonus (full time) / $2,500 hiring bonus (part time)**
**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, scheduled hours between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM (average 40 hours per week)

We are seeking a dedicated **Audiologist** to join our team! In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in both **inpatient and outpatient settings** . Coverage will be split between our **hospital location** and our **West Omaha clinic** (204th & Harrison).

**A Brief Overview**
To Provide diagnostic and rehabilitative services, for auditory and related disorders in the inpatient (including NICU, PICU, CCU, Med-Surg), outpatient and surgical settings
**Essential Functions**
+ Provides high quality diagnostic and rehabilitative services for auditory and related disorders based on indication and appropriate to area of service delivery (Testing modalities: Behavioral Testing including VRA, CPA and Conventional testing; Diagnostic Otoacoustic Emissions; Diagnostic ABR; AABR; Immittance Testing including Acoustic Reflexes; Speech Testing; Wide Band Tympanometry; ASSR) • Gathers and analyzes information obtained from diagnosis, symptoms, medical history, patient/caregiver concerns, previous testing, and previous/current intervention • Selects and completes test modality(s) appropriate to indication, age, developmental/cognitive abilities. • Performs testing according to published guidelines, department procedure, protocols, care pathways • Uses information gathered through assessment, patient report, caregiver report and collaboration with other healthcare/educational providers to identify needs and to development a plan of care. Plan of care is patient/caregiver centered and outcomes oriented • Facilitates implementation of plan of care • Directs and Coordinates the selection, authorization, ordering, and fitting of appropriate amplification devices • Continuously assesses, reassesses and modifies plan of care based on patient status, response to care, caregiver feedback and patient care needs • Utilizes effective communication strategies with client, caregiver, other care providers • Proactively pursues opportunities to collaborate with other members of the care team in the inpatient, outpatient and multidisciplinary clinics; provides and accepts information from all members of the multidisciplinary team to assure seamless provision of care • Assesses learning styles and preferred learning methods to provide patient and caregiver education • Facilitates referrals to appropriate resources/agencies within the organization and community For identified team members: • Completes evaluation for Cochlear Implantation Candidacy; Assists with Device Selection; Completes intra-operative monitoring; Completes Device Activation and on-going Audiologic follow-up. Works with Cochlear Implant Team and other professionals, such as educational audiologists, on ongoing basis. • In coordination with Employee Health, provides testing to employees who work in roles that are identified as high risk for hearing loss Completes comprehensive documentation within the electronic medical record according to department procedures • Documentation clearly and concisely reflects patient status, plan of care, interventions, response to care, patient and caregiver education, referrals to other providers/agencies • Completes documentation in a clear, concise and timely manner • Documentation supports billed charges
+ Facilitates growth and skill development of self, team, students and community • Openly and willingly shares knowledge and expertise with other team members. Utilizes internal and external resources to enhance own knowledge and skills • Prepares for and actively participates in educational opportunities provided within the department including presentations, article reviews, in- services, discussions • Assists with the orientation of new team members within the department/organization • Supports the Audiology clinical education program by sharing knowledge and skills with students and job shadows to further promote the profession
+ Assists team in providing programs, systems, processes that support high quality care, current clinical practice, outcomes measures, and fiscally responsible practice. • Actively participates in team meetings by identifying opportunities for improvement & growth, sharing insight into topics discussed, openly listening to ideas of others • Actively contributes in the development/improvement of new & existing programs, projects, processes by volunteering to assist with and in completing assigned tasks/responsibilities within identified time frame. • Supports decisions of team by incorporating new programs, systems, processes into current practice • Actively participates in approved research projects • Assists Director in establishing and maintaining and effective department budget

**Education Qualifications**
+ Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Audiology Required
**Experience Qualifications**
+ Experience working with pediatric patients or pediatric clinical internship Preferred
**Skills and Abilities**
+ Requires the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
+ Requires basic computer skills
**Licenses and Certifications**
+ AUDIO - Audiologist Current and valid Nebraska State License Required and
+ ASHA - American Speech Language Hearing Association Required
