We work closely with otolaryngology, primary care providers, and other specialists to provide comprehensive care.

In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and counseling pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients with hearing and balance disorders. This position involves evaluating hearing and balance, dispensing hearing aids, and completing follow-up hearing aid care for patients across all age groups. Routine department meetings and hearing aid manufacture trainings will help you stay current with technology that can be used to improve the quality of life of patients.

Position Responsibilities:

Diagnostics

· Administer and interpret hearing and balance evaluations for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations. Testing includes comprehensive hearing evaluations, tympanometry, acoustic reflexes, OAE, AABR, tinnitus evaluations, VNG, and ototoxic monitoring.

· Counsel patients/family members regarding results, and provide recommendations

· Gather and record data, prepare reports, bill for services, and maintain patient charts in an electronic medical record

Rehabilitation

· Formulate audiological amplification treatment plans for patients across the lifespan

· Develop a rational treatment and monitoring plan, including the use of amplification, assistive listening devices, and aural rehabilitation

· Demonstrate knowledge of current amplification technologies, fitting practices, and validation procedures

Professionalism and Documentation

· Contribute to a positive work environment, support the teamwork among all staff, participate in mutual problem solving to achieve positive outcomes, participate in departmental meetings and initiatives

· Document encounters and generate written reports that are accurate and timely
