Job Description Summary

The Audit and Compliance Sr Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with internal and client policy requirements throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. This role involved conducting audits and analyzing and measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through reviewing documentation, identifying areas of non-compliance, reporting findings, and implementing corrective action to mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities:Support compliance and audit activities through investigation, recording and reporting against established benchmarks internally and with the client.Develop KPI tracking mechanisms and systems to monitor and report KPI performance against established benchmarks internally and with the client.Maintain and follow audit and KPI reporting calendar and routines.Prepare monthly compliance and audit reports and present findings to client via video conference and/or in-person to clients, project teams, and/or senior leadership.Support with any 3rd Party audit requests from client.Work with internal and external Business Intelligence teams to develop and maintain compliance and audit/KPI dashboards and reporting.Identifying, tracking, reporting, and implementing corrective action measures resulting from audit and compliance findings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, procurement, and other stakeholders, to address financial and compliance-related challenges and needed corrective action measures.Provide guidance and training to project teams on financial management practices, KPI tracking, and audit and compliance requirements.Stay updated on changes with internal and client related changes to audit and KPI procedures and requirements and implement any changes needed.QualificationsBachelor's degree in finance, accounting, project management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.3+ years of experience in construction project management, finance, auditing, or a related field.Experience with construction project finances and documentation to include but not limited to Schedule of Values, project schedules, purchase orders, change orders, project bidding and project documentation and record keeping.Experience in defining and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for project management and performance evaluation.Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software, such as Excel, ERP systems, and business intelligence platforms.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams.Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in audit/KPI reporting and compliance documentation.

IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE

3+ years of relevant work experience, or similar combination of education and experience

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to develop excellent client relationsStrong proficiency with MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

 WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $72,250.00 - $85,000.00
