POSITION SUMMARY:

The Audit Assistant, Compliance and Control participates in daily audits of gaming and non-gaming activity, the preparation of management and regulatory reports, and preparation of journal entries

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists the department of Compliance and Control in the daily collection of gaming and non-gaming audit documents and reportsPerforms audits of gaming/non-gaming activity, in accordance with gaming/non-gaming audit standard operating procedures for one or more of the following areas as assigned by the supervisor:
- Intercompany casino transactions and other areas as requiredPrepares the daily journal entries to record revenues and expenses along with any balance sheet entriesPrepares monthly balance sheet reconciliation of general ledger to corresponding source systemsAssists in the preparation of daily reports for submission to government regulators, external parties, internal parties, and senior management teamAdheres to, and supports the Company’s Vision & ValuesDisplays a high commitment to excellence and continual improvementHolds the motivation to achieve business objectives and common goalsWorks as a team memberAchieves agreed objectives and accepts accountability for resultsAll other duties as assigned by Management

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

Appropriate tertiary qualifications, majoring in Finance/Accounting, administration/hospitality, statistics, business administration or mathematics preferred

Experience

Up to two years of experience in a corporate environment will be considered as an advantageAudit experience in hotels preferredExperience with a computerized system

Skills / Competencies

Advanced knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of Hotel System Opera and Infrasys Point of Sale is an advantageAnticipates and assesses issues, risks, or opportunities facing the Company and applies effective, creative solutions or new approaches and practicesClearly understands the strategic Vision of the Company and how it impacts on the Business Unit/functionGood communication skillsOrganizational skillsTeam working skillsIT literateAbility to work five (5) days per week on a rotating schedule
