The individual will provide management and the Board with an objective, independent assessment of the internal control systems through the planning and execution of audit assignments. The individual will also add value to management by providing appropriate business-oriented recommendations. He/she will assist in the delivery of the overall audit plan and report to committees and management.

Assists in the preparation of the annual audit plan and schedules, Audit Committee reports, monthly country reports and other regional or local reporting requirementsCoordinates and monitors audits being performed by regulators, external auditors (for special projects, if any), other entities’ auditors and other groups providing assuranceWork with Senior Audit Managers to plan each audit job efficiently and effectively following the approved annual audit plan and in accordance with the GIA standards from planning to completion.Execute and complete the assigned audit tasks in accordance with the GIA StandardsFor direct audit jobs, which may be assigned from time to time, ensure that project is properly managed, audit efficiency is promoted, budgeted hours is properly observed and working papers meet the required GIA standards.Prepares quality audit reports and assist or leads discussion and 2 resolutions of issues with appropriate levels of management.Manages assigned direct projects (i.e. Audit Projects, Special Projects, Investigations, Continuous Business Reviews, etc.) to ensure timely delivery and issuance of reports.Provides progress report of each project to superior on a periodic/timely basis covering audit, admin and client-audit relationship issues, if any.Develop and/or maintain good working relationship with appropriate management level including those outside the audit engagement.Suggest ways of improving audit process and quality, as well as synergy among team members.Complete the necessary training and CPE being required by Group and minimum requirements in order to maintain relevant professional certifications.Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by Senior Audit Managers, the Deputy Head or the Head of Group Internal Audit in order to meet organizational and/or other requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Education – Graduate of BS Accountancy or other course related to the company’s business and operationsMinimum seven years of internal/external audit experience in the insurance, financial or a related industry. Supervisory working experience is an advantage.A relevant professional qualification such as Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Public Accountant or equivalentExperience in life insurance business or financial services industry and strong understanding of insurance legislative/regulatory requirements is an advantageExperience in applying data analytics (e.g. Galvanize (previously known as ACL) and Tableau) in assessing business application control effectivenessKnowledge with audit tools (e.g. TeamMate) is an advantageAbility to work under pressure and meet milestones within time, cost and quality constraintsStrong analytical, written/verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship building skillsSolid problem-solving skills, ability to analyse complex data, identify core issues, investigate, evaluate and reach appropriate conclusionsAbove average IT knowledge is an advantageAbility to adapt to changes quickly and capable of multi-taskingGood team player who is committed to achieve results
