Audit Manager – Data Transformation - Vice President

Team/Role Overview

The Audit Manager is an intermediate level role responsible for performing moderately complex audits, critical regulatory and audit issue validations and assessments of Citi’s risk and control environment for Data Governance and Data Quality. The overall objective is to recruit, develop, and manage an effective Internal Audit team, that ensures the firm meets audit standards and regulations in partnership with business leaders and the develop, execute, and evaluate audit plans.  

This role is within the IA Data team which provides independent third-line assurance of processes and controls that mitigate Data risk, with a focus on BAU audit activities and validation of regulatory commitments. 

What you will do

Consistently develop, execute and deliver audit and issue validation reports in a timely manner, in accordance with Internal Audit and Regulatory standards Collaborate with teams across the business and determine impact on overall control environment and audit approach Manage audit activities for a component of a product line, function, or legal entity at the regional or country level Manage a small to medium sized team of Internal Audit professionals that delivers audit reports, in accordance with Internal audit and regulatory standards  Advise the business on change initiatives, while advancing integrated auditing concepts and technology adoption Recommend interventions to issues, propose solutions for risk and control problems, partner with Directors and Managing Directors to develop approaches for broader corporate issues Apply in-depth understanding of Internal Audit standards, policies and regulations to a specific product or function area  Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. 

What we will need from you  

Relevant audit experience or knowledge of Data Governance and Data Quality Controls preferred Fundamental to Intermediate level of understanding of the Regulatory Reporting Processes, specifically relating to the Capital and Liquidity reports is an added advantage  Related certifications (CPA, ACA, CFA, CIA, CISA or similar) preferred Effective verbal, written and negotiation skills Effective project management skills Effective influencing and relationship management skills Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment Demonstrated ability to think critically and be naturally curios 

Education

Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
