Description We are looking for an experienced Audit Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Glenview, Illinois. In this role, you will oversee audit engagements from start to finish, ensuring compliance with standards and delivering high-quality results. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with support staff and utilize advanced accounting software to streamline processes.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of support staff to maintain efficiency and accuracy throughout the audit process.
• Develop and execute detailed audit plans and programs tailored to organizational needs.
• Conduct thorough financial and operational audits to assess compliance, accuracy, and risk management.
• Utilize accounting software systems like CaseWare and CCH ProSystem Fx to enhance audit workflows.
• Prepare comprehensive reports documenting audit findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
• Engage with clients or stakeholders to address audit-related inquiries and provide updates on progress.
• Monitor and manage budgets for audit engagements, ensuring cost-effective operations.
• Perform account reconciliations and cash flow analyses as part of audit procedures.
• Stay informed about industry trends and updates to auditing standards to maintain best practices. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in audit management or related roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems such as CaseWare and CCH ProSystem Fx.
• Strong knowledge of audit programs, plans, and compliance requirements.
• Experience in financial, operational, and information systems auditing.
• Exceptional organizational and leadership skills to manage teams and complex engagements.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, including cash flow and account reconciliations.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients and internal teams.
• Familiarity with budget processes and cost management within audit projects.
