What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
Support the Audit Director in the in ensuring the development and execution of a comprehensive program of audit work. This includes leading the development of an annual risk assessment and audit plan. Support the Lead Auditor in the planning and scoping individual auditsEnsure audit projects address GM and GMAS key strategic and business objectives based on understanding of appropriate business aspects, risks, potential fraud, performance requirements and control processes and systems of auditable activitiesReview and approve workpapers for accuracy, adequate testing coverage, and appropriate documentationOversee development of and review the audit report. Reviews audit issues ensuring that the root cause is accurately identified and that management action plans are developed that address the root causeManage and provide hands on support to the lead, senior, and staff auditors throughout the auditCommunicate and report audit results with business units and VPs, where applicableServe as primary contact for local auditee management during and after the auditEnsure the audit management system (Star) is updated accurately and timely (including actual and budgeted project hours, dates, action plan status, findings documents)Review and approve team's spendingMonitor, forecast annual team budget, and report to PPGTrack open Issues/Management Action Plan as due date approachingDrives the development of an effective Continuous Business Monitoring and Risk Assessment Process Support Audit Director's meetings with stakeholdersTalent management(timely and ongoing feedback, actively involved in team development and coaching, effectively communicates formal ongoing coaching, in addition to firmal mid-year and year-end evaluations, etc.)Participates in ongoing professional developmentDevelop a good understanding of GM operations worldwideBuilds strong relationships to interface with the business and service linesServe as a brand ambassador for ‘One GMAS’Develop the teamSKILLS/ABILITIES:
