Delta Air Lines’ Corporate Audit team is searching for a dynamic IT internal auditor to support our integrated risk-based operational/IT audit approach. This position will focus on understanding how IT systems and business applications enable operational workflows and assess key IT risk and controls. The successful candidate will also be able to identify and audit relevant non-IT risks. This is a highly visible opportunity where you will gain valuable exposure to cross-enterprise businesses and senior leaders. Your work can make a real difference.
HOW YOU’LL HELP US KEEP CLIMBING (OVERVIEW & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES)
+ Explore and learn about Delta’s business-enabled IT environment and the business units at Delta who deliver our mission to better connect the world
+ Identify and understand Delta’s strategic initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders to validate their risk management approach
+ Lead and complete audits with limited oversight through planning, testing, and reporting:
+ Prepare work papers to adequately document audit work to support testing results
+ Write quality and accurate reports that highlight findings, conclusions, and management’s remediation action plans as needed
+ Advise risk and control owners on remediation activities required to address compliance issues
+ Utilize data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Alteryx, Power BI, etc.) to gain visibility and communicate how risk management activities are working
+ Capture and track finding remediation activities with periodic status reporting to senior management and the Audit Committee
+ Stay current with emerging technologies, IT risks, cybersecurity trends, and regulatory requirements that may affect the organization
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
The ideal candidate should have five or more years of audit experience, information technology audit experience, or relevant experience in combination with the following:
+ Recognized self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced environment and seeks the challenge of winning in a rapidly changing marketplace
+ Embraces diverse people, thinking and approaches
+ Champions bold ideas and innovation on how to evolve and grow the capabilities of the Audit organization and the methods used to perform our work
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels
+ Ability to effectively manage time and productivity with competing priorities in a rapidly changing, fast-paced, interactive, and results-oriented team environment
+ Understands the impact of technology within a global enterprise
+ Strong awareness and technical knowledge of the following areas of information technology: IT governance and risk management, IT infrastructure, data privacy and protection, and emerging technologies
+ Ability to travel 10-20%, including travel to international locations
+ Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
+ Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
+ Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
+ Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
+ CISSP, CISM, CISA, CIA or other relevant certification
+ Previous experience using data visualization tools to communicate audit results and findings
+ A master’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering or other relevant technology or business field
