Duties
+ Utilizing procedures, guidelines, policies, and standards performs function of a team leader or team member on assigned audits and assessments.
+ As a team leader, independently and systematically plan audits/assessments including objectives and approach.
+ As a team leader, coordinates, organizes, schedules, and distributes work for self and team to meet completion dates and commitments.
+ Monitors team member activities; ensuring problems are identified and resolved to meet completion dates and commitments.
+ As a team leader, reviews the identified problems and formulates audit / assessment findings accurately and effectively documents the results in an audit / assessment report for presentation to management.
+ Oversee and observe assigned audit areas and monitor for performance deficiencies, providing feedback to the requisite levels of management.
+ Provides assistance and consultation concerning effective and efficient practices and the adequacy of internal processes to line personnel.
+ Remain knowledgeable of current, revised, and upcoming regulatory and industry codes and standards.
+ Recommends changes in procedures, processes, or plant design.
+ Performing some quality central activities as part of cross training.
+ All other duties assigned that may include trouble shooting of process problems or special studies as appropriate.
+ Obtain and maintain qualifications for an Emergency Response Organization (ERO) position.
+ As required, participate in the Nuclear Industry Evaluation Program (NIEP).
Basic Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; preferred in Engineering, Physical Science, Mathematics, Quality Assurance
Or
Five years related experience and a two-year degree from an accredited institution; preferred in Engineering, Physical Science, Mathematics, or Quality Assurance
Or
Seven years of directly related experience in nuclear operations, maintenance, engineering or vendor/procurement, or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Possess and maintain a valid driver's license; willingness to travel to perform audits
+ Excellent communication skills (both oral and written); knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and databases
+ Effective interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
+ SRO license/certification or professional engineering license desired
+ Technical experience in the nuclear industry
+ Technical experience directly related to quality assurance
+ Technical experience directly related to nuclear quality assurance
+ Technical experience in nuclear quality assurance auditing
+ Proficient with SSES specific software such as NIMS, eSOMS, and ActionWay
