Rolls-Royce have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and adaptable individual to lead the development of capabilities and skills within Rolls-Royce Submarines to best support the AUKUS programme. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in a multigenerational programme right from the start. where you will be the Rolls-Royce’s single point of contact for the development of Australian Nuclear SQEP internally and externally.

What you will be doing:                                             

You will work collaboratively within Rolls-Royce and with AUKUS governments, academia and industry partners.

To develop a framework for skills and capabilities that provides a roadmap for Australia’s nuclear capability development for AUKUS.  This is to include the required capacity growth required by the UK to deliver this.Develop and execute the capability roadmap to best develop Australia’s Nuclear SQEP to meet the overall AUKUS objectives.                                          To identify and proactively develop suitable strategies and interventions to meet the business, UK and Australian demands.To work beyond your role scope where required given the agile nature of the team and dynamic scope of the role – example areas to support could include policy, regulation, export control, security, build, transport, logistics, programme management activities, in-service, strategy, communications.

Experience of people and skills development in a regulated industry.Experience of working with early careers/academia/universities is preferred.Relevant HNC, HND or Degree level qualification or appropriate equivalent.Demonstrated effective leadership, communication & skills.Experience bringing their unique style and behaviours to integrate with and enhance our team.Experienced in applying process improvement techniques and driving business improvements.Delivering across multiple, complex projects.Understanding of the CADMID lifecycle and the associated capability requirements.Understanding company quality policies and processes deployed within the resource groups.Experience of working within a customer facing/strategic/political environment.Experience of working within a multi-disciplined team or indirect (matrix) team.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines, you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place.

Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
