GENERAL SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:
To be responsible for efficiently, accurately, and timely verification of insurance coverage and obtaining authorization for Outpatient Therapy services. Assists coordinator as needed with staff training. Serves as mentor and resource to staff within the company.
This position will be a hybrid position. During the orientation period, the new colleague will be on-site, in training for about two months. Following a thorough understanding of the position, the colleague could work remotely approximately 85% of the month on a team with eight team members. The work week is a Monday through Friday, 40-hour work week.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience with Epic required; experience with Evicore strongly desired.
Experience with Excel spreadsheets required.
Experience with insurance authorization required.
EESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Collect and research information to effectively and accurately submit insurance claims to insurance companies for reimbursement via Evicore.
Follows up with insurance companies for problem resolution. Responsible for timely completion of eLearning as assigned by RMA and/or contracting hospitals.
