As an auto damageclaims adjusterfor our National Catastrophe Response team, you’ll complete vehicle damage estimates and/or oversee the estimatic quality of repair facilities. You’ll ensure the estimates are accurate and in accordance with the terms of Progressive's policy contracts, physical damage standards, and state regulations. In addition,you’ll work with repair shops to facilitate timely completion of repairs and ensure the quality of repairs meet customer and Progressive expectations.
This position requires frequent travel across the country to catastrophe locations. The travel rotation schedule is 20 days on, 8 days off.
Duties responsibilities
Maintains availability to deploy at any time within the requirements of the deployment rotation scheduleAccurately and timely inspects vehicle and writes estimate, documents claim related information appropriately, and makes decisions consistent with claims standards and local lawsSetting clear and accurate expectations regarding repair duration, estimate detail, repair outcomes and financial obligationCompletes estimate timely, updates PD Suite appropriately and meets productivity goals.Identifies related and unrelated damage (prior damage)Makes total loss determination and establishes total loss evaluationsMust-have qualifications
A minimum of four years of relevant work experience with one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience{OR} Associate's degree and a minimum of three years relevant work experience with one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience{OR} Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experienceValid driver’s license, auto insurance, and compliance with Progressive’s driving standards and/or policies Preferred skills

Compensation
$52,700 - $70,300/yearGainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 16% of eligible earnings based on company performanceYou may be eligible for additional pay during designated catastrophes.
