About the Role
Western Australia Iron Ore (WAIO) is an integrated system of four processing hubs and five mines, connected by more than 1,000 kilometres of rail infrastructure and port facilities in the Pilbara region of northern Western Australia
BHP are currently seeking highly motivated Auto Electricians who are interested in moving to Port Hedland and joining our Port Operations residential teams for upcoming opportunities. Having the right people working within our organization focusing on our maintenance will allow us to unlock the value of our assets by ensuring that we have reliable equipment, predictable operations and a safe work environment for our people.

Roster: Lifestyle roster (4 days on - 5 off, 5 days on - 4 off, 5 days on - 5 off)
In your role your primary duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Conduct complex diagnostics and maintenance activities Work efficiently and effectively on Surface Mining Equipment & LV Equipment including (CAT, Scania, Liebherr, Fuso, Isuzu, Volvo, Toyota, Navman) Follow specific maintenance programs and procedures and carrying out checks on equipment as required. Ensure accurate completion of technical documentation, reports and drawings as required. Be comfortable in the use of computerised maintenance systems (SAP), including time confirmations, raising notifications and closing work orders. Take personal responsibility for helping the team achieve expected results by doing what is required and taking timely actions within the scope of ability without being supervised. Undertake training on a regular basis and provide support and coaching to work mates within area of responsibility. Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with rescheduling of work, organising and coordinating resources, scoping of work and determining priorities when required. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in the implementing of the new initiatives in a constructive way.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
Australian recognised Auto-Electrical trade qualification Automotive air conditioning cert Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, be self-motivated and show passion toward the equipment within the department Ensure adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the planning process Experience in mining maintenance environment Capability in 1SAP or similar maintenance systems (desirable) Australian Driver's license
