We are currently recruiting for Auto Electricians within our Shovels area, you will report into the Mine Maintenance Supervisor. The position is responsible for the maintenance and servicing of electrical systems and components on the Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) fleet. The Auto Electrician is required to ensure maintenance activities are completed in a safe, efficient and effective manner. The Auto Electrician is responsible for maximising the amount of scheduled maintenance and minimising the impact of unscheduled works through quality and effective workmanship.

 

In this role, you will:

Carry out routine maintenance of the equipment to the required standard of performance and safety;Ensuring all work is completed in a timely manner, thus minimizing down time of the equipment;Work orders completed in a timely manner to the standards set by the maintenance supervisor;Meeting company maintenance and production objectives by ensuring all installation and maintenance work is carried out to relevant Australian standards and regulations;Ensures the workshop and yard are kept tidy and that the plant site is left tidy after any work is carried out;Caries other duties that may be reasonably required; andParticipate in safety and communication meetings.

 

Who You Are:

You will be committed to maximising the amount of scheduled maintenance and minimising the impact of unscheduled works, while striving to continually improve the way we do things.You will have a trade qualification as an Auto Electrician, experience maintaining HME, a current C class manual driver’s licence and computer skills.Experience with Autonomous Haulage Systems and Caterpillar equipment will be highly regarded.You will always demonstrate your commitment to safety and use your experience and judgement to ensure yourself and your workmates stay safe.
