**Automotive Mechanic** **AdventHealth Orlando** **Location Address:** 601 EAST ROLLINS STREET, Orlando, 32803 **Work Hours/Shift:** • Full Time or Part Time or PRN (Shift Information) **You Will Be Responsible For:** + Completes preventative maintenance for all assigned vehicles and mechanical equipment. + Troubleshoots electrical and hydraulic problems, utilizing a variety of diagnostic instruments and a variety of hand, electric and air-driven tools. + Performs service repairs, tune-ups and DOT inspections on all hospital vehicles, ensuring state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards. Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems. + Repairs brake, engine, electrical, fuel, hydraulic, transmission, ignition, air, exhaust, axle, steering, HVAC, suspension assemblies, and related systems. + Job duties may include the transportation of hazardous waste from the point of generation to a designated secure storage area. Employee will be required to complete initial training (prior to handling hazardous waste) and refresher training to include proper handling and transport of hazardous waste, and proper selection, use and disposal of personal protective equipment. Qualifications **What Will You Need:** **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED** **:** + Minimum of 5 years automotive maintenance experience **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED** : + High school diploma or GED **LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED** **:** + Valid Florida Class E Drivers License and driving record in accordance with AdventHealth policy **Job Summary:** Under the direction of the Lead Auto Mechanic, the Auto Mechanic performs routine repair, preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on all hospital-owned vehicles. Duties may include the transportation of hazardous waste as well as the delivery of hospital vehicles to campuses and vendors.
