Salary:112k-118K We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Mechanic Shop Foreman to lead a team of technicians in a busy fleet repair shop in Long Island City. This is an opportunity for an individual who not only excels in diagnostics and repairs but is also passionate about mentorship, leadership, and driving team success. Job Responsibilities: + Supervise, train, and develop a team of auto technicians, ensuring work is completed efficiently and correctly. + Manage workflow, delegate tasks, and maintain high standards for quality and safety. + Use expertise to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, brake, hydraulic, and ignition system issues. + Ensure all repairs meet company and regulatory standards, conduct inspections, and enforce shop policies. + Identify areas for improvement, implement best practices, and maintain an organized, productive work environment. Basic Hiring Criteria: + At least 10 years of hands-on automotive mechanic experience in a fast-paced setting. + Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage people and processes effectively. + Fleet maintenance experience is preferred, as well as knowledge of all types of passenger vehicles. + Hybrid and EV experience is highly valued—, as are additional pay and incentives for expertise in this area. + Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
