Marvin Composites is looking for skilled Automation & Controls Technicians to join our team in Fargo, ND, where you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our automation projects and maintenance operations. In this position, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact on plant operations by optimizing automated equipment and ensuring smooth, efficient processes.
As an Automation& Controls Technician, you will engage in hands-on work, collaborating with cross-functional teams to tackle exciting challenges in automation and controls. You’ll gain valuable experience programming PLCs, diagnosing and repairing equipment, installing new custom equipment and contributing to technology upgrades. This role offers ample growth opportunities, allowing you to advance your expertise while seeing your contributions directly reflected in our production success.

This posting includes two distinct roles: one focused on engineering projects and the other on equipment improvement projects. Candidates will be considered for one role based on their qualifications and preferences.
Highlights of your role Build and maintain custom automated machines and equipment, including Programmable logic controllers (PLC)Diagnose, repair, and replace mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical component
Engineering Projects:
Collaborate with project teams and suppliers during new equipment builds, assist in system integration, and support projects during design and installationEquipment Improvement Projects:
Assess current equipment, troubleshoot issues, and make improvements to existing systemsSchedule/Pay:Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts
$29-37 +per hour
Pay based on experience level
Compensation $29-37 per hour You're a good fit if you have (or if you can) PLC programming experience or education preferredTwo-year technical degree preferred, such as Mechatronics, Industrial technology, or a related field3+ years of relevant experience may substitute for a degreeExcel at clear, effective communication with diverse teams and individuals, ensuring collaboration and understanding at every level
