Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Automation Controls Engineer to develop PLC code for new automated manufacturing cells. You will collaborate with our Software, IT, AI Dev, and Automation teams to deliver automated systems supporting our manufacturing scaling. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, analytical, fast-paced, and detail-oriented.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop PLC code for new automated manufacturing cells.Collaborate with Software, IT, AI Dev, and Automation teams.Troubleshoot, program, modify, replace hardware, and update existing systems.Design and plan control logic architecture.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in automation/electrical/computer/mechanical/software engineering, or equivalent.5+ years of experience in developing custom automation.Expertise in PLC ecosystems (Rockwell PLCs, Servo, and Safety).Proficiency with Structured Text, Function Block, and Sequential Function Charts.Experience with controls hardware including sensors, remote IO, servos, safety devices, machine vision, barcode readers, HMI.Familiarity with industrial networking protocols such as Modbus.Additional Skills & QualificationsABB Robotics experience is strongly preferred.Experience in ABB Robotic optimization to increase the speed and efficiency of automation cells.Work Environment
State-of-the-art advanced manufacturing site co-located with offices, home to technology development and manufacturing teams. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $64.90/hr.
