Job Title: Automation Developer
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automation Developer to join our Embedded Performance Automation Team. The team consists of 11-12 members, with 4 members on-site in Ottawa. You will be ramped up alongside a team member familiar with the area you will be working in. The ramp-up period is 2-3 weeks, during which you will get involved in existing issues and gradually transition to more standalone tasks.

ResponsibilitiesReview nightly automation results to ensure test accuracy and limit regressions in daily testing.Analyze data to verify test pass results and ensure accuracy.Dive into the development aspects of automation.Bring up and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Triage issues in the lab with both legacy and newer Electronic Control Units (ECUs).Contribute to the performance automation and test team by bringing up KPIs.Essential Skills3+ years of experience in Automation Development using Object-Oriented Python.Experience with test automation frameworks (ideally PyTest or Slash).Experience with Embedded Systems.Strong ability for debugging and triaging independently.Experience in performance testing and tools development.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) with Python.Advanced understanding beyond basic concepts.Strong knowledge of list comprehension (a key requirement).Familiarity with class variables and the workings of classes in Python.Ability to write readable and maintainable code.Experience in performance automation, inspecting data, and triaging issues.Proactive attitude and ability to figure things out independently.Innovative ideas for improving automation processes.Work Environment

5 times per week on-site in Ottawa at the Palladium location. The team consists of 11-12 members, with 4 members on-site in Ottawa. This is the Embedded Performance Automation Team that works on the ECUs along with various other components.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.
