The Automation Engineer collaborates with technicians and managers to address automation challenges, enhance systems, and ensure the attainment of project goals related to quality, safety, and productivity.
Responsibilities
Design and build automation components and systems, such as tooling, conveyors, and fixtures.Collaborate with production and quality teams to test and improve automation systems.Monitor automation performance during production runs to ensure efficiency and quality.Work with sales teams to provide quotes and support for new automation projects.Coordinate with engineers and managers on equipment specifications for automated work cells.Partner with external vendors to meet system build and production goals.Essential Skills
Experience in automation, program management, and programming.Knowledge of electrical systems, PLC programming, and controls engineering.Proficiency in mechanical systems and AutoCAD Electrical.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.Proficient in CAD and Microsoft Office Suite.Good math skills, including fractions, percentages, and ratios.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.A four-year degree with 2+ years of automation experience, or a two-year degree with 4+ years of automation experience.Preferred degree in mechanical or electrical engineering/technology.Attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and follow instructions in various formats.Please submit an up to date resume for consideration or to learn more!
