About this opportunity:
The Automation Engineer is responsible for developing, deploying, and delivering actuations based on recommendations coming out of AI/ML models (Insite) in line with BCSS MSN strategy for moving towards autonomous operations.
What you will do:
On a day-to-day basis, the Automation Architect will work on tasks such as:
• Responsible for creating Low-level designs based on HLDs created by Automation Architects.
• Develop and Deploy automation rules/use cases/solutions based on the recommendations from AI/ML models and perform actuations.
• Responsible to use the existing automation components/modules to achieve scalability, modularity, and re-usability enabling high velocity and reusability and aligning with EOE objectives.
• Perform customer's use case requirement analysis and check potential scenarios for aggregation to make efficient use of infrastructure.
• Participate in code reviews, LLD documentation, and testing activities.
• Ensuring SITs are done for validation, ensuring repeatability in results & documenting them for handover purposes.
• Ensure the success criteria defined in the ideation are met to achieve desired automation ambition & UAT is secured.
• Coordinate with SDAP and implement changes based on feedback received during internal testing, deployment and signoffs.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in Automation & provide thought leadership to improve velocity, re-usability & opportunities for further research.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members as needed.
• Support the Service Operations Governance both internally and with the customer as needed.
What you bring:
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Jenkins, or Ansible. Min 5 years into automation devlopment role
• Proficiency in at least one server-side language such as Java, Python, or C++, databases (SQL/PLSQL), scripting languages, Groovy, and web services
• Knowledge of Programming Languages such as Scripting, Web Services, B2B integrations, Databases, Groovy, and JAVA. Python etc.
• Expertise in at least one popular Python framework (like Django, Flask or Pyramid)
• New and applied technology, software engineering, and business understanding
• Good understanding of Telecom business and domains
• Knowledge of automation tools, statistics, optimization, or related fields.
