Automation Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.The work model for the role is: #Li_hybrid This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation in Pune, Mumbai India. You will be mainly accountable for:•As an \"Automation Engineer\" you will develop software solutions for machine automation for our customer and internal projects with Structured Text Language.•Supporting customer for trouble shooting projects, customer training, concept creation•Supporting Sales for presales discussion with customer, product selection, •Automation and testing of our latest product developments and technologies.•Commissioning at our customers' sites•Maintaining and protecting B&R / customer IP

Qualifications for the role

Knowledge in software development for automation technology (high-level languages e.g. ST, C)2 to 5 years in ‘Machine Automation’ development and support experienceExperience in the field of automation / electrical (PLC, drives, control systems, motion control), hands on experience of Installation & CommissioningBachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical / electronics / instrumentation /mechatronics). Confident in communication in the English language and local languageA proactive, communicative person, able to work independently. Flexibility with business tripsTravel is 50 % of time to local customer site within Pune, May also include domestic travel to customer sites or End-User sites
