This time we are looking for a replacement. The workplace is at Langhus, and you will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager. Getting a flying start
To succeed as Automation technician, you need experience in automation, installation, troubleshooting and maintenance fields. The position will require you to have knowledge in automation, different PLS programing and project execution.
It is expected that you will have a good knowledge and network within automation technology and suppliers that will be utilized to keep Nexans in front when it comes to technology related to manufacturing.
Working closely with production- and technical department you will first evaluate problems and improvements and then specify how to implement improvements related to quality and efficiency in the factory.
You will provide knowledge and skills to actively participate in developing technical solutions and manufacturing improvements in collaboration with team members and other departments. On top of that, you will be a key resource for developing the factory and in addition participate in QA and HSE activities internally in the department and in projects.

Promote continuous improvement and safe work environment Administrate and perform maintenance activities Contact and procurement with sub suppliers within automation and electricians Contribute to investment projects with key competence on automation Responsible for efficient maintenance routines, including maintenance software Actively contribute to safe and stable production environment Secure key competence and resources for maintenance services Responsible for trainees within maintenance department related to automation Ensure energy efficient solutions and routines both for building and operation Promote efficient cooperation across departments, and build on “one team” mindset within factory Participate in driving the factory within transition to Industry 4.0
Your starting point when you join:
Preferable 3 years’ experience within automation, fresh graduates are recommended to apply Minimum technical degree within automation, Engineers also recommended to apply Knowledge on maintenance of machines Fluent English (written/spoken) Fluent/excellent in local language (written/spoken) Experience with team management Good communication skills at all levels Experience within PLS programming(Siemens S7, S5 & TIA) & HMI programming (Siemens WinnCC & Intouch Wonderware)
