Summary – basic function of the role We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. The Automation Engineer in the field of Industrial Automation and Robotics will have the opportunity to develop their career by participating in innovative software projects for automated systems. They will work under the supervision of senior engineers and collaborate with mechanical, hardware, and software engineering teams to learn and apply technical skills in the design, maintenance, and improvement of software for robotic and automated systems. This position is ideal for a professional with programming knowledge and a strong interest in industrial automation who wants to gain hands-on experience in software development for advanced industrial environments. Work Schedule and Location: Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. On-site position based in Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid) Job Duties and Responsibilities Software Development Support – Assist in implementing and improving machine software for operations, navigation, safety, and systems, under the guidance of senior engineers. Engineering Collaboration – Work with mechanical, hardware, and software teams to develop integrated automation solutions and ensure seamless system communication (robots, PLCs, sensors, etc.). Testing & Verification – Help test and validate software to meet precision and quality standards, troubleshooting issues during system operation. Maintenance & Updates – Monitor software performance, assist in preventive maintenance, and support software updates to ensure system reliability. Documentation & Compliance – Maintain technical documentation and support the implementation of safety protocols in software development. Training & Support – Assist in training operators and technicians, providing basic troubleshooting and supporting system commissioning.
