Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an Automation Engineer to join their team. As an Automation Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic department supporting various teams across the facility. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: Competitive salary based on experience

What's the Job?

Lead and manage all new automation projects and enhancements to existing automation equipment. Troubleshoot equipment and process issues in collaboration with the maintenance team. Implement new equipment installations on the production line. Design and program PLCs for weld fixtures and stamping dies. Develop preventative maintenance plans for all new automation equipment.

What's Needed?

Post-secondary education in engineering or equivalent experience. 2 - 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a similar role. Proficiency in PLC programming and electrical systems design. Experience with 3D mechanical design software such as SolidWorks or NX. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate safety concerns.
