AUTOMATION ENGINEER-SUPERVISION
 (m/f)

 

Responsabilities

The Automation Engineer will ensure the proper functioning of production lines and their improvements within their automation team by implementing and coordinating new projects conducted on-site. He.she will actively participate, through their expertise, in troubleshooting diagnostics. He.she will also contribute to the development, in partnership with IT, of making manufacturing process data available on the office network

 

Main tasks

Ensure all maintenance work on equipment and new projects (adhering to installation schedules for new equipment) at the automation and industrial computing level, in line with production planning Maintain existing systems and develop new equipment in terms of automation and industrial computing. Ensure availability of backups for PLC programs, HMI, drives, etc Define necessary spare parts and their stocks; monitor availability of spare parts at the automation and industrial computing level Propose modernization and updates to current supervision systems in collaboration with the IT department to achieve complete digitalization of the site Contribute to maintaining knowledge within the company about best practices and new solutions regarding equipment and technology for automation, regulation, and signal transmission Ensure compliance with standards and proactively suggest improvements.

 

The Automation engineer must be capable of taking initiatives that allow for maintaining and improving production capacity, minimizing equipment downtime, and enhancing processes.

 

Required skills and qualifications

Degree in automation-supervision engineering or equivalent training and experience 5 years of experience in industrial automation Interest in technology and working in an industrial environment Knowledge of software: TIA, WinCC, Simatic STEP 7, OPC Server, VMWare, EPlan, Office Suite, SAP Proficiency in MS Office tools and Outlook; SAP knowledge is a plus Technical English proficiency is recommended Autonomous and proactive Experience in a similar role within an industrial environment is an advantage
