SUMMARY
The co-op student will be working on job assignments related to their computer science or engineering education. These increasingly challenging assignments will provide foremost an effective learning assignment and then a sound intellectual and/or financial return for the PCC organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the design, development, and implementation of control systems for various projects.Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and test control algorithms and software.Participate in the troubleshooting and debugging of control systems.Support the integration of hardware and software components.Conduct research and analysis to improve existing control systems.Will work with controls and automation equipment.Prepare technical documentation and reports.Student will attend a weekly departmental meeting.Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and review sessions.Any and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.Basic understanding of control systems, automation, and instrumentation.Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems is a plus.Proficient with Microsoft OfficeProficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or MATLAB a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
Full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
