We are changing the world with: • Trusted products that accelerate drug discovery, development, and delivery to save lives • Damage-resistant cover glass to enhance the devices that keep us connected • Optical fiber, wireless technologies, and connectivity solutions to carry information and ideas at the speed of light • Precision glass for advanced displays to deliver richer experiences • Auto glass and ceramics to drive cleaner, safer, and smarter transportation **Scope of Position:** Apply Mechanical, Electrical, Automation skills and knowledge to support the development and improvement of state-of-the-art automation equipment. **Program Benefits:** + Competitive salaries + Housing assistance + Travel reimbursement **Intern Activities:** + Social and networking events + Volunteer opportunities + Community Involvement **Major Roles and Responsibilities:** + Work alongside technology development and engineering teams in the design of automation and mechanical equipment by creating CAD drawings and models. + Create experiment plans to evaluate system performance and test hypotheses. + Lead and execute experiments. + Collect data and perform detailed statistical analyses (descriptive statistics, process capability, linear regression analysis, etc.). + Develop and perform Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). + Support the integration of new Control systems equipment such as HMIs and Vision systems. + Deliver design solutions and write technical reports for completed work to capture insights **Requirements:** **Education:** + Currently enrolled in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering program + Minimum of 2 years working toward a Bachelor’s Degree **Skills:** + Solid understanding of mechanical principles and strong design skills + Computer literacy and experience with data analysis tools + Ability to analyze machine, equipment, process data to uncover insights and make design decisions + Strong problem-solving skills + Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively present information + Result-oriented, takes strong initiative, and able to work well both independently and in a team environment + Organizational skills and the ability to build relationships and interact with all levels of the organization **This position does not support immigration sponsorship.** ​The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly.
