Automation Engineering Intern

Summary:
Voith Paper is a part of the Voith Group and supplies equipment to the paper industry. We are looking for Electrical Engineering students to work as interns in our Automation Group in Appleton, Wisconsin. This is a flexible position, but the expectation is full-time work during school breaks and the possibility of part-time work while attending school.
Responsibilities:
Use CAD software to generate schematics and layout drawings. Generate Bills of Materials for machine assemblies. Performs technical calculations. Works with suppliers to specify components. Develops software for machine control. Read specifications regarding requirements of machinery. Follow instructions as provided by other Engineers, Designers, and Managers. Communicate work status with Engineering and Project Management staff. Interacts with business system as required.
Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks. Willingness to learn. Enrolled in an ABET accredited university pursuing and Electrical Engineering or similar degree. Industrial experience is a plus Experience with Rockwell components and software is a plus. This position is mainly in an office setting. This role sometimes will require working in the manufacturing environment. Sitting or standing for long periods.
