Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage a team of designers/engineers to deliver high quality, cost effective and timely automation (ICSS), power management and digital engineering & commissioning solutions to customers. Formulate plan, allocate resources to meet the agreed contractual and financial targets. Ensure team's compliance with standard processes, procedures, practices and safety requirements. Drive engineering standardization, identification and implementation of adaptive leavers in each project and establish stronger collaboration with global execution centre (OPCs) for continuous cost optimization and quality improvements. Responsible for successful engineering delivery of green field offshore solution projects. Collaborate with sales team to forecast, allocate and develop required resources to execute the solution projects.The work model for the role is: Onsite This role is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries Division of ABB, Singapore.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tProviding direction to the engineering team with a focus on functional safety, cybersecurity, on time delivery, quality, and margin improvement.•\tEnsuring the projects/ operations value chain portfolio follow sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with internal standard procedures and that the projects are closed as per the contract specifications.•\tInitiating, coordinating, driving, and overseeing continual improvement of processes and procedures to strengthen the engineering / design capability and efficiency, utilize agile methodologies to reduce engineering lead time, and enhance functional safety and cybersecurity.•\tDriving team performance to ensure that the deliverables are met on time and as per the set contract specifications and safety, cyber security, and quality requirements.

Qualifications for the role

You are highly skilled in working on DCS, safety, fire and gas systems and power management systems, preferably on ABB’s 800XA.Ability to demonstrate your experience in managing and leading a team of engineers for large and complex automation projects.Possess Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications and related business and engineering software applications (CAD/AUTOCAD, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, etc.)You have strong commitment to customer satisfaction and able to build strong customer relationships and long-term commitments.Degree in Engineering Disciple with a minimum of 10 years of practical experience.You have general understanding of network engineering and IT/IS is a plus (PC handling, Windows applications, PC configurations, Virus scanners, interfaces, backup).You are at ease communicating in English.
