**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Automation Engineering Manager, you will lead all aspects of operation and maintenance of all building automation systems.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
**What You’ll Do:**
+ Lead all aspects of scope development, work request initiation, monitoring of BMS program systems in critical facilities.
+ Follow all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to system operations and work safety.
+ Maintain a total facilities building management systems program which includes all the various connected and separate electrical, mechanical, life, and safety systems.
+ Assign work orders to campus engineers based on supervising results and efforts to drive efficient system operations.
+ Partner with client, vendors, and campus staff to ensure all systems are operating efficiently and alarms are being proactively identified and actioned.
+ Inspect systems to ensure the operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieve operational conditions prescribed by the client.
+ Work closely with the internal operations team in supporting systems optimization and project implementation.
+ Understand, maintain, and solve material handling control systems.
+ Supervise metrics and partner with the maintenance and operations teams for system performance issues and provide an evaluation of data.
+ Point of contact for customer concern support during and after business hours. Fix locally and remotely and repair all hardware or control software systems within the building.
+ Appropriately bring up downtime situations to vendors or headquarters for support to restore equipment operation.
+ Facilitate review of processes and implement improvements. Train team for efficiency.
+ Conduct and review system assessments to understand material handling system performance.
+ Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
+ Identify and resolve day-to-day and moderately sophisticated issues that may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
**What You’ll Need:**
+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred with 3-5 years of proven experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
+ Experience in HVAC/Mechanical trades as well as Building Management Systems
+ Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
+ Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and balance problems.
+ Leadership skills to empower team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job field and department.
