Automation Engineering Specialist - Paint Application/Specialist

In this position... 

The Automation Engineering Specialist-Paint Application is part of a cross-shift automation team responsible for operating paint automation, including, but not limited to, the sealer, prime, and enamel processes.

You'll have... 

Associate's Degree3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment3+ years of experience with PLC Logic and Controls ProgrammingExperience with Paint Automation (Fanuc, ABB, Durr)

Even better, you may have...

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Controls or Automation Engineering Fanuc and/or Kawasaki Robot Programming/Application experience A history of working successfully with skilled trades Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience Body Shop and/or Paint experience Prior experience reviewing prints, using AutoCAD, and interpreting and modifying electrical schematics Demonstrated leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills

What you'll do...

Utilize available tools (FIS, QLS, Maximo, etc.) to optimize the operations of the paint automation to meet the quality and volume targets.Provide SME support to the Maintenance and Production Teams to optimize the operations.Lead projects to improve the overall operations and accommodate future models.Assist with the development and execution of preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure equipment uptime targets are met.Provide input on new equipment design and purchasing support for new models and equipment launches.Support Work Group and Department meetings regarding equipment improvement and JPH actions.Work in a rotating AWS shift environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Work on either a 5x8 or 4-Crew 12 Hr/Day rotation.
