Automation Engineering Technician (2nd Shift)

The Automation Engineering Tech contributes by providing hands-on, technical support to Pittsburgh’s automated packaging equipment. This position works directly with Engineering & Operations to deliver safe, timely and professional support in the technical aspects of our business. **Duties and Responsibilities** + Responsible for root-cause analysis and troubleshooting of automated and semi-automated equipment + Design of PLC corrective measures to ensure automation processes are operating at maximum output + Oversee repairs and adjustments to electro-mechanical components such as servo pick-and-place and pneumatic tooling devices + Diagnose and repair faults on 6-axis and SCARA robotics + Develop and implement machine-based improvement projects to maximize productivity and reduce downtime + General equipment & facility maintenance as needed + As-needed support to the OPS team for Quality sorts & rework + Other duties as assigned **Education and Experience Requirements** + 1-3 years of automation technical experience with a demonstrated history of PLC troubleshooting skills + Technical degree in Industrial Controls, PLC programming or related discipline + Detailed knowledge with the following automation equipment: + Studio 5000 Logix + Allen Bradley PLC's + Fanuc Robotics + Servo Applications + Ability to train and coach machine operators + Skilled in reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings + General capability to interpret SolidWorks 3D models + Knowledge in working on industrial electrical circuits (primarily conduit and wire installation) is preferred **Essential Functions** + Safety-first mindset with knowledge of OSHA Safety Regulations + Ability to lift 50 pounds + Demonstrated problem-solving ability, resourcefulness, and adaptability + Strong team member with the skills to thrive within a diverse group + Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills _Milwaukee Tool is an equal opportunity employer._ Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled We endeavor to make this site accessible to any and all users.
